Pre bending

with reply to knightsofnii - bending them correctly for curve, and for tip/tail upcurve, will also prevent tip/tail delams. you should definitely prebend the base, or the edges will want to pull off the board/ski and be flat. Where can i find on the website or can some one help me with how we preben...

Thanks for all the advice, it has been helpful. My problem is that I have allready cut all my bases (6 pairs) and have glued on the edges - some of them have warped while gluing the edges on (some have warped from 1 to 3mm in the centre, when comparing it to the base template) - Not wanting to start...

Placing dampening rubber

When using clear bases, is it necessary to place dampening rubber ontop of steel edges, as it can be seen through the clear base.
Is it possible to place the graphics ontop of the base and edges and then apply the dapening rubber ontop of the graphics? :?

Pre bending tips and tail before lay up

If you are prebending the tips and tails, What is the best way of achieving this, and if using heat do you use moisture to assist with the bending process, as I find my tips and tails at 2mm thickness appear to be not flexiable enough to curve in the mould.

LAY UP PREPERATION QUESTIONS

I have 3 questions, 1 - Prior to glueing the edges to the base, is it recomended to wire brush or sandblast the egdes, for adhesion purposes. I noticed in the "how to do" area, it does not mention to do this? 2 - When using UHMWPE tips and tails supplied by ski builders, is it recommended ...

First go around I'd go for one layer of triax fiberglass (or bi+uni to make up tri as I had to) above and one below. You can adjust your core profile to make the stiffness you want. For the club fields. I'd go for relatively straight, relatively stiff and 80-90mm underfoot. If you have the engineer...
