Structure in bases is not to melt snow and create water on the base but rather channel the water from tip to tail. The friction from the ski is going to melt a thin layer of snow regardless (microsocpically). the trick is to move that water away from the base to it does not create a suction affect. ...

Edge wrap question
I just pressed my first pair of skis with the help of my father in law. For my next pair, I would like to not wrap the edges completely around the tail and tip. My question is what do I need to do differently rather then a full edge wrap? Do I need a different type of tip and tail spacer?

print cores from snowcad
This may have been discussed already so if so, I apologize.
I am in the process of designing my first ski. I have done so in Snowcad and I am having a problem printing out the core on my home printer. Does anyone know how to do this?
