It should hold together when split lengthwise into six inch strips because it has the hot melt binder in the fill direction.
If it has that to hold the fibers in place then you should be okay. Mine didn't have that, and it caused problems.

I see it comes in a 24" width. The problem with unidirectional is that it is very difficult to cut it into smaller widths and keep it together. I tried it before and as soon as I cut it, the fibers started falling away. I haven't tried it yet, but I was thinking if I taped the area that I was c...

What was their minimum order and how much did it cost you? Did you get straight or pre-bent edges?

Even after it fully cured, when we trimmed the flashing off, it still smelled. Also, the mixing ratio is very large. The activato...

I know this is digging up an old thread, but does anyone know if that guy is still making cores? Is that still the right email? I need to get quite a few cores for my thesis work in composites. I tried making a core for a snowboard project at school and it turned out okay, but not near the quality I...

ski press

Has anyone bought, or know someone who has bought, a press from snowboardmaterials.com? I'm wondering how well they work and how well they hold up. I'd like to make my own, but I don't have the skills that most of you guys have. Any info would help. Thanks.
