what fiberglass or carbon fiber did you use on your kid's skis?

I have a 2.5 year old who I might build skis for next season, but it sounds somewhat difficult to make them flex correctly and keep them thick enough to mount the bindings. Any input would be great!

i think its safe to say that the vast majority or maybe even all the builders on this site attach the edges to the base first. we don't have CNC benders to bend the edges exactly enough for doing the layup like that.

seems like water has a lot more surface tension than powder, which makes them very different to float on.

skidesmond recently built a wood press similar to what you're talking about, but used steel on the ends and in the middle (if i remember correctly) to help with deflection. I'd say wood is fine as long as you put a few steel supports (detachable) around the middle. i'd give you a link, but i don't h...

is it coming from the outer edge of the hose? or in the middle of the steel bar? if its coming out the edge area where the fold of the hose is and you don't have the bars sticking out a little past the edge with bolts, that might help. http://on3pskis.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/December-019.jpg ...

i loved them. they were pretty fat. i don't remember wich model or length, but they were kind of short (I'm 6'1" or 6'2") they were very lively for being so fat on groomed runs. thanks for the link. Iggy: are the 2x4's on the press just there to set the casket on so its easier to slide the...

Iggy, amazing what you have done in the past year. Keep up the good work. I saw in your video that you were using 10mm wide VDS on the three different layers on your BG's. Do you like the narrow VDS ok? is there a link to said vide? :) i rode a pair of icelandics at baker last season and read in th...

do you find that you're getting a better bond with the jig?

do the bolts just push against the steel that presses the sidewalls? or are the bolts attached to the steel somehow?

so you have holes in your base material? do they just get filled with epoxy?
that's one thing i wanted to avoid (hence the vacuum)

i figure if after drilling a few more holes, the vacuum still isn't enough I can just use some clamps on the end to hold down the core or ptex.
