Look up Lightning boards on line. They build handmade solid ash skis. At one point they used to make their skis with lignostone edges, not sure if they still do. You may have an issue with amine blush with your epoxy. Amine blush can prevent epoxies from hardening and will also impede bonding between epoxy coats and layers if the blush is not cleaned off.
