You will have to look under the "photos" section of the group.... I am not sure if you can view it if you are not a member, so let me know if it works or not!

Thanks,

Ok, first off, I have to say EXCELLENT job on the producing of more than 50 pairs of skis in a couple months, unreal! here are a couple questions I am going to throw at you: first, where did you buy your VDS second, when tapering your core thickness, do you only taper one end at a time to prevent th...

I see how that cassette works on Kam's Video... but does all the material just stay in place while it is being pressed... or do you have a special secret on how to make sure nothing shifts in the pressing process?

I just want to make sure I do this right the first time!!

so, if I am getting this correctly... the fiberglass is actually more abrasive than the alluminum when profiling the sidewalls? and also... what is anyone using for sides in their cassettes? to keep the base, core and filler materials in line while being pressed? If I make the cassette out of allumi...

best method to keep material allinged while pressing??

Thanks Kam, I will probably have some more questions in the coming weeks... I am in the process of building my press right now I started last weekend and the frame is almost complete. It is going to be very similar to the large production style press shown at http://www.custom-shop.com/pages/ski%20p...

Is there any possibility that you could post a scimatic of your entire control system for the heating element, including positive and negative wires, and where they all connect? I just built a press and am trying to install the heater... yet having a little bit of a hard time with the wiring. I beli...

Has anyone ever used a Titanl layer in their skis????

I am going to build skis this spring and was wondering how A layer of Aluminum (Titanal) was going to effect the ski building process. Is it as easy to make as a set of skis without the Ti layer? also when profiling the sidewalls in the finishing process is there a special router bit to use that wil...
