yes, K2 has used it in some form; since their beginning---however clear spruce species such as Sitka spruce are generally very expensive--probably since it's used in the Aviation world for things such wing spars and the like

I would really like to see some detailed pics of sandwich "cassettes" esp. like those in the videos-------I know that this type of cassette is not condusive to one-off design, but I'm trying to address other issues, --consistency------ie the elusive white elephant in the world of home-buil...

as to spring steel in Voelkls; I would think that it might possibly refer to the edges--speaking to a factory rep last summer-- they were pretty interested in designing/making ski's with less warranty issues------less/no metal and abs sidewalls instead of wood--------leather topsheats on the otherha...
