Looks like it would get the job done. It's probably worth it if you are trying to do some asymetric core profiling.

I, personnaly, haven't see and posts about using hand planers. Most have been about using a table planer (14" wide) with a template or a router with rails.
Having said that, you could probably use the router method but with a hand planer, provided you make a bridge for the hand planer.

I've never riddin a ski/snowboard with reverse sidecut and don't like the fact that they are squirly on hardpack. Also, I'm not convinced that you cannot get the same effect with a regular sidcut ski. Also, I've heard that with a reverse camber it's hard to land jumps. Any experience with this guys?...
