I´m also going to use vertically laminated bamboo, my core is gona be 13mm but i won´t have the ski finished before oct. so I can´t help you until then. but if somebody else would share their experience i´d also be interested. ;)

does any of you have experience with transparent bases? I was thinking of using ricepaper or cotton fabric but lay it directly on the base and then the edges on top of that so one doesn´t see the edgeankers (or what ever you call them). or would that compromise bonding of the edge to the base?

yeah recycling was the initial idea, well im in yurp so skibuilders is no option for me although i could get some abs from a similar store, thanks good point

hi, so I´m new and haven´t built any skis yet. I´m just getting started collecting the materials for the press and the skis. what about using the leftovers of the base as sidewalls and spacers? just laminating them above each other with vds inbetween! my girlfriends snowboard has sidewalls of 2mm ab...
