Equipment for sale

I have a press, CNC cut top and bottom MDF mold, solid steel edge-bender and firehose I would like to sell. I have built 3 sets of skis with this setup. The equipment has been stored in a climate controlled shop, it is in great shape, just a bit dusty. I live in the metro Detroit area Michigan. http...

Findind A Plotter

If you don't have any success with printing these pictures to the correct scale you can take the files to a reprographic store. This is a fancy name for a copy store. They will have the capability of producing your drawings on a single sheet of paper printed off of a plotter. This should not cost yo...

We use ren cast pretty often at my shop and I don not think this will work for an edge application. This material is used for foundry pattern tools in the die cast industry. Yes it is tough but I don't think it has the flexibility or wear that steel will give you.

I used 22oz. glass folded over and bonded with gap filling super glue. Bonding it together made it easier to work with during the lay up especially when glueing it around the edge that met the core.

Core movement

I used small finish nails to secure the core in place. I just drilled the holes through the cassette and into my mold.

Build stuff

My core material is poplar and maple Elmer’s white glue for bonding. The core profile is the same as The Governor 10mm in the middle. My dimensions are 130 105 122 tip, waist, and tail same as Volkl Gotma. I used wood for the sidewall, I found UHMW difficult to bond (even with abrasion and flame tre...

Thickness Issue

I just pressed my first pair ski today. I am happy to say it was a terrific success. This was not without the help of all the great postings on this forum thanks everyone. The only concern I have is the thickness of my ski. After it is all said and done they came out just a little over 15mm thick at...

Pure latex bonding

Has anyone ever used pure latex for dampining. I wonder if the epoxy will bond well to this. It was the only thin rubber I could find at Mcmaster (.010 in.)

Rad Length

I was wondering how to figure the length of the radius on the tip and tail. Is this important? Should the tip and tail radius flow tangent into the camber radius. If so I would like to get my radius length from this tangent point. I'm going to be cutting a hard tool on a CNC mill and I would like to...
