I dont know if I have it coming into the building. I am in an industrial park so who knows? I believe I may have 3 phase as there used to be a machinist in here and I think the building manager said he was running some 3 phase equipment.

Could get a converter possibly?

Now the real decision here is to buy a grinder/sander with my tax return or pay off debt...

those look SLICK! Congrats!

What is optimum BTSR anyways? like are talking 2:1 or 6:1?

Personally I'm on a LTSR where L=liquor. Migraine's and wheat allergies mean's limited BTSR for me. :D

That does work. I've talked to people who have tested those and it makes a difference. I learned about it after I had put mine together and didn't think it was worth taking my beams apart to throw the metal in. I guess it doesn't take much either.

If you buy GOOD drill bits and have a 120v corded drill, some beer and time then yea. You will smoke bits like mad if you use cheap crappy ones.

But yea, it's doable. Some machining oil would be good as well. Drop some in hole to keep the bit cool.

Those extra braces are key!

To anyone looking to go the wood route. You gotta have the braces!

I did not. It was just ambient room temp. Which on a non zero degree winter day in an unheated basement translated to about 55F. It took 7 hours for a good cure on the epoxy using Entropy room temp cure. Most of the time I would put the ski in and just go to bed. Wake up and its done.

My press is primarily wood. You'll need to support the middle. QFT My original frame was wood, no middle support. It deflects... A LOT... Did it effect the quality? In short no. Not for personal ski building and friends. Does it effect repeat ability? In the long run, with no middle supports, yes i...

It's pretty much the same unless you are using a super light color or all white on the 27lb. If they are both saturated with ink it looks the same. I just feel the 35lb has better color density. Just my opinion though.

No more pics until tonight. Got side tracked yesterday then hit the gym.

Thanks Twiz! I do them on an Epson 1400 with the driver hack for length found around here. I'll go back and dig it up to repost because it's damn useful. I print on 27lb matte paper at 240/300dpi. I was printing on 35lb, but can't find it in a 13" wide roll yet. I just make sure its pressed ont...

nice prayer flags. :D Thanks! I've got another smaller set to string up too. Just haven't got around too it :| So I had 2 jugs of epoxy crystalize out of no where. Thanks to Rob I was able to figure out what had happened in about 30 minutes. So I fixed the issue with a hot bath of water for about 2...

For what it's worth Vince is a real nice guy. I ordered some ISO from him about a month ago (going to order more by the way next pay day in about a week). Shipping is fast and he processes right away. Great email contact and on the phone. Super helpful and doesn't mind answering all of your questions.
