Soo after a season of working in a barn (a really cold barn) and pressing in a basement (still kinda cold) I decided I wanted to actually get into ski building a little more. So I decided to shell out for some work space. Built a new press with heat and all that fun stuff Decided to search for ISO's...

VSC 2011 and on

Well, I've been picking away at skis for a couple years now. Finally upgraded things from an abused wooden press to a neat-o steel one. Basically I'm making a place holder as my resolution this year is to actually start one of these threads instead of only posting on Google+ I'll be back in awhile w...

Dang that stone looks new.

Is it easy to get a wider stone for it? Or would I be able to stone a 150mm powder ski by doing two passes?

Also is it easy to do the belt sander conversion?

I know this is the wrong forum section but "chainring" bolts from mountain bikes work great for a quick fix. Plus they look cool and give you a spot to loop some skins through.

FYI, its a 6 week + 3 business day turn around from CDW
I would honestly add about 2 months to that estimated turnaround. I've been trying to get my material since May and when I first placed the order and shipped them my templates they said only 3 weeks.

Just a heads up.

We could setup a Wiki along side the forum for those that want to tackle writing articles for others or people starting out to follow. Like has been mentioned, a fair portion of the ski builders how-to's need to be modified or re-written. Unless we want to for-go the beginner articles and compile a ...
