Hi all- For a couple of years, my small custom label, Origin Skis, has been building customs in Salt Lake for mostly friends and family. I'm attending school in Salt Lake, and have decided that I need to put the ski building plans on hold for awhile. I'm SELLING my equipment, hopefully to someone lo...

6.5" wide fire hose

I have three pieces of single jacket fire hose, each 76" (195cm) of usable length. They are 6.5" wide when flat. $20 each piece, $50 for all. Just made new bladders and have these laying around. Would be great to use for shorter skis. Located in Salt Lake. Email if interested hans.harris a...

Complete ski factory ready to go- Montana/ Salt Lake City

I've been making skis for a few years now, but currently go to school at the U in Salt Lake City and just don't have the time to keep up with production. That being said, I am looking for a home for all of my equipment. I have an I-beam pneumatic press (w/ heat blanket and controller, 220v), planer,...

CNC Mogul reviews?

I know some people on here have looked into the CNC Mogul machine (http://cncmogul.com/). I know Donek has one but does anyone else have one and if so what do you think? The price is unbeatable, so I'd like to get one if they're worth the coin... Thanks errybody

I use my Hitachi 15" planer and can do a pair of cores in about 10mins to within a few hundredths of a millimeter. Use it to make the reverse molds too :) Still interested in a CNC, though. I came up with the reverse molds I use by watching ON3P and Moment's factory vids. As far as a spiral cut...

Dtrain, mind divulging your veneer source? I'd love to do some veneer skis but a)don't know what I'm looking for, and b) can't seem to find any small-volume (and cheaper) source.

I agree with climberman- some of the nicest veneer skis I've ever seen. Nice work. How do you assemble the topsheet with differing veneers? Also, did you stain the "divide" on? Awesome stuff man!

The one concession I might have is heat cure, since that seems to be the only difference in what you've done and I've done, Yeti. I'd find it odd but the lack of heat could throw a wrench in things...
