Re: A bunch of last second questions

how many boards (either 3/4 or 1/2 or any other width) should be lined across to make the mold of a 100 under foot width ski?? Oh dear. Google search "arithmetic" and you'll figure things out. Then what? Just kidding, I got it (I didn't know how much extra wood. I got the answer.) Thanks ...

A bunch of last second questions

A buddy and I are planning on going down to the Home Depot today to start making our press. I was there a few weeks ago, but only for a few minutes. I was in that time able to get a good look at their available MDF boards. So my first question is, how many boards (either 3/4 or 1/2 or any other widt...

Anybody make clothing after skiing

I see some people who sell their skis sell clothing too. What does this is entail, and is it usually hard to make. I see tall hoodies being made on NS, and some of my friends has made some hats, but other than that, what can be easily made at home and cheap, like those 2 things.

Oh, I thought for the epoxy of the fiberglass and Ptex (with the edges) they used clamps. The how to video used a ton, but then again they had a pneumatic press.
My bad, noob here.

I have a similar forum going in the Design/Layout section, but was glad to see this one. Although this isn't my forum, I would like to thank all who have contributed so far.

Well I am NOT spending that much... what you say makes perfect sense. Guess I'll have to look for some cheaper wood, or cheaper bamboo. Suggestions. Again, a light, big, pow ski, probably around a 105 under foot.... relatively flexible i guess.... thanks

I went on Cali-Bamboo. I was wondering if I need construction grade, or if furniture grade will do, and how thick it should be. Thanks

cheap heat alternative

Or a cheap heat blanket, with accessories [ie. PID controller]. Does anything cheaper than a probably-used MEI silicone blanket for $200?
