Always mix your epoxy by weight. get a good digital scale to help you with this. . Second that motion. Weighing by volume (and by eye) worked great until one day when I tried using more of everything, then it didn;t. Now I use a cheap digi kitchen scale, cover it in clingfilm to avoid getting epoxi...

Are you sure you had the epoxy/hardener mix correct? if you have a short pot life and are mixing in multiple batches, and screwed up the last batch, then that might explain it. I got burned on this a while back after getting lazy and mixing by volume instead of weight. Now I'm back to weighing the e...

Wow, weird. The only other thing i can think of is uneven epoxy curing between the top and bottom, due ither to different heats or maybe using two different bathces of epoxy and screwing up the mix? i msut admit i'm not sure that would to arcing edge to edge. Either way, i would still shoulder the e...

Re: Triaxial Carbon Fiberglass?
Well, it's definitely not triaxial fibreglass (which I really want, anyone have any ideas?), it's triaxial glass with carbon tows in the 0 direction. Pretty standard stuff. It seems like a hell of a lot of carbon for a board, but the last time I flexed a voile i practically gave myself a hernia, so ...

.But it's best for your health to let epoxy harden on and then clean. I learned first hand about absorbing stuff through your skin years ago picking mushrooms on a dewy morning. Lets just say it was surprisingly fun. :D :D :D :D Hahh! Reminds me why i never eat rice krispy treats any more if i didn...
