Super Sap CPM? What's the deal...

I apologize in advance for the probably repeated question, but I have been looking around for quite some time and I am having trouble making any good sense of much of the epoxy talk around here so i decided to clutter the page up more... Anyways, so I am thinking of going with this: http://www.entro...

Yeah, it turned out great. It is way easier to work with, and I got all the wood I needed for $30 on Craigslist so it is a much cheaper option as well.

Here is a quick update after awhile... We have not been dormant this whole time, but our progress has slowed. After our work today, all we need to do is get our cordura (on their way) and finish shaping our mold. Here is some more pics of our project: Here is a picture of our bladder, 3- 6" lay...

While google sketchup does look like a good option, I didn't review this thread for a few days, and I spent some time on Turbocad perfecting the Bezier curve function. It is perfect for what I am trying to do, and the free trial does a .dxf export as well. Once I figured it out, it is actually very ...

Printing .DXF Files??

So I got my tip and tail rocker sections all drawn up in Turbocad, but I am having a hard time figuring out how to print them off to scale. I have tried printing it on multiple peices of paper, but it just kept printing the same section over and over. So I tried to have it done at a print shop, but ...

or even better yet does someone have a better way to draw and print out a curve for my rocker profile mold sections? I fell like a full on CAD program is overkill for just one curve. I already know what my profile needs to be, I really just need to draw it up and print it out to make a template for ...

Turbocad WTF???

So I downloaded the turbocad Pro free trial for Mac OSx, and it is ridiculously confusing. I tried watching tutorials, but what I am running, and what they are running on the tutorials doesn't even look like the same program. theirs is a white background with a nice grid and dimensions, and their to...

Yes we are going to do cordura. I would guess each half of the press weighs around 75 pounds, so in total 150 maybe? I don't know, I am kind of a bad weight estimator, but I'm pretty sure it is close to that. Overall it is pretty light so far relative to some of the other presses on here.

Here we go- Another ski press build thread

After circumstances resulted in me taking this quarter off before starting college, I decided to build a ski press and start making skis. It is something I have been thinking of doing for awhile now, and I figured this would be the perfect time to start. I have been gathering the tools and supplies ...

Hey man, I am in La Center. (just north of Vancouver by Woodland/ Ridgefield) I am just starting, am in the process of building a press and gathering tools and equipment, but if you want to buy bulk supplies or something let me know and I may pitch in. I'm assuming you mean Vancouver, Wa by the way....

well, I just went through the same process. I started thinking about a steel press, then moved onto a wood beam press, and finally decided to do a cordura press. I picked up the materials to build the main structure of the frame for $30, and I am projecting the rest of the pres will run around $100-...

Wow, great job man, those look great. I am thinking about setting up a flat camber with a similar rocker profile to what you have (maybe more tail rocker with more of a gradual rocker up front like the Moment Night Trains) and I have been reading about how much the ski relaxes after pressing. I was ...
