Camber Mold...

So I debating of trying a new mold where I have the vertical ribs of MDF with no camber (planed perfectly flat) glued together and then profiling a sheet of 3/4" MDF to lay flat on top. The sheet would be cnc'd from 3/4" in the center down to about 1/2" at each end to give me roughly ...

check with fiberglasssupply.com I didn't see the triax in their online catalog, but when I called them they had it. I have used it quite a bit and really like it. Pricing was less than Vectorply and you have the ability to buy any length whereas Vectorply requires you to buy a whole roll.

Router bits

What are you guys finding works best routing out base material? I have been using a 3/8" flush trim router bit with the bearing on the bottom. Trouble is, it's leaving considerable flash along the edge of the base. It is getting annoying having to trim the flash off. Maybe not the bit? Maybe ne...

Calibamboo also has vertically laminated boards in a 6" width. You'll need to sand the finish off one side. 60 grit + belt sander = 5 minutes.

Base is sold. I still have a few extra sidewall sheets. I priced out the shipping and it was 29.00 for 2 pieces going ground. Odd shape and heavy weight are an expensive combo.
Just looking for 40/sheet.

Durasurf 2001 (20 meters 1.4mm) for sale....dirt cheap.

I do not know how to upload pictures, but if you pm me your email, I can send the pics there. I bought this from Lib Tech earlier this year for about $3/meter (I need to doublecheck). Anyway, I'll sell it for less than what I paid and cover shipping in the lower 48. It is a bright green and orange s...

Thanks much. I guess I'll use the dimensions from the snowboard materials cores and then run a few extra carbon stringers to make sure its tough enough.

Question for the Snowboard Builders

I am planning on building 3 snowboards this Spring to give as gifts for my 3 groomsmen in my wedding this summer. Trouble is, I ski and I have only made skis. I had my local cnc shop route me out a base and core templat that I modeled after the Never Summer Raptor (just made it a little larger, 165 ...

twizz, do they have 1/2" thickness on those floorboards? I found a guy in OR that can bring in 30 sheets at a time of the 1/2" sheets from China, but I cant deal with that many. That would be at least 240 cores. May be worthwhile if we could do a group buy. I also found a dude in China tha...

Any good sources for vertically laminated bamboo???

So I have been looking around trying to source sheets (4' x 8') of 1/2" vertically laminated bamboo for my core material. Having a hell of a time as everything is either thicker or cross ply.
Has anyone using bamboo come across a good supplier?
Thanks,

What diameter fire hose do I need?

Hey everybody. I am in the process of gathering material to build my first press. It will be (2) I beams side by side each with a 6" width for a total of 12" wide in hopes of being able to do a pair at a time. My question is I cannot find the bladder hose locally and being that it is fairl...
