sanding, paper template

After I cut out my paper spray mounted mdf template and then go to the finial sand to get perfection, the paper tends to roll back a bit instead of sanded off. I’ve tried spraying the paper with polyurethane in an attempt to make it sand better but that was a total disaster, don’t try. Any tricks to...

With no tip spacer does the tip and tail sidewalls blend into the end grain of the core?
Have you been able to find p-tex topsheats that are thinner then the average base material?

You guys are quick to pump out new designs 8)

I see you have changed from Duratec to West System? Why?
Mostly posting to see if anyone has done any tests with different epoxy’s
I’m in the process of pricing online sales but only have experience with West System because it’s locally available.

Kalisto, if you make a base template you can use that for shaping the core. The trick would be to change out the baring size on your router bit to offset the sidewall thickness. It’s ok to have extra material overhanging the edge during lay-up, you remove this after the ski is pressed. Woops just re...
