Re: Flex of Ski: Stiff or soft front

Thanks for your answer! My measurements is the typical flextest by hand. So it is pretty subjective... But the difference between the Scott Cougar and my typical flexpattern is so huge that it can not be denied. Your answer confirms all my thoughts about softer tails and Michael even reportet the wa...

Re: Jonrezz’s Build Log

That CNC looks nice! I am thinking about building one but I am still in the mode of getting the right ideas to keep the dimensions, the stiffness, the price, the amount of time and the peace with my wife in the right order.

Re: Vacum press air bubbles

I had that problem once. I am using a vacuumsetup as well. During pressing the suctionhose got clogged with fleece and resin so the gauge told me everything was fine, but it wasn´t. since then I use a long hose with several holes in it.

Re: Hollow P-Tex

Hi Vinman, thanks for your reply. At first I didn´t want to believe what you wrote so I kept searching and cut the skis open at a few more places and I also took a closer look at the suction-hose that led to the vacuumpump. It was clogged with a little piece of fleece. So I think thats the reason wh...

Yesterday I laminated a Touringski. Vacuumpress, -0.9bar. Resin like always, HP-E110L. Cores with rabbet for the edges. Edges prebend to fit the mold in the shovelarea. No Tipspacer for the shovel. I made this ski for the third time, 1st with 2.5mm in tip, 2nd with 3mm and now 2.3mm. after pressing ...

Once I have seen a video of a guy hotglueing a longboardcore form woodstrips for vacuuminfusion. There was always a little gap between the strips so that the epoxy could flow in between. Maybe this is the way they do it in the industry? Just a few dots of hotglue, the rest is done by the epoxy?
