Resin Research

Hi guys!
Wondering what is the best resin from resin research for building skis.

I was thinking of using or 2050, 2070 or 2090.

What are your thoughts and experience?

Regards!

I am planning to use ply wood for my next ones. Has anyone tried it already?

Thanks Richuck!

Actually today the tests I did all of them bonded to the fiber. The only thing I figured out is that the water drop test does not work for me or it just work the other way. The water drop I put in the Uhmw that bonds does not expand at all.

edges with unknown materials

Hi,
So I cut a hellbent and took a piece of edge out and this is what I found:

It has like a king of yellow glue in the teeth and in the middle an orange thing. It is not VDS.
Do you know what it could be?

Thank!

When I bend them, they sit with the bases perfect. Then we glue them and after that we pre bend them. Could it be the pre bending is springing them out again??

This ones, we did sand them. -In this ski we treid epoxy sidewalls and tip spacers. Maybe they dont absorb the impa...

Thanks Knight,
I am treating the same way HDPE and UHMW (Grinding, Flaming and cleaning).

The Hdpe bonds way better than the UHMW for me. Just wondering if it is good for impacts. I notices it is harder than UHMW.

HDPE Sidwalls

Hi everybody!
Just wondering if any of you is actually using HDPE Sidewalls. I am usin them right now cause it bonds way easier than UHMW and it is way cheaper.
If you have used it, can you tell me your experience??

Thanks!
