Nice looking skis, and a fun twist using the bling in the eyes. :)

I'm also interested in the Ipe, how is it compared to bamboo? how does it handle water?

Very good! You will be pleasant surprise when you ski them! :) (I hope...) (Just a personal reflexion, 1950g/ski with "mostly poplar" core and CF...? That's what my "Raven" weighs with poplar/ash core and regular FG triax..) Thanks. I hope so too. Yeah I agree, they are not very...

Ok so the first pair came out REALLY stiff, they were meant to be superlight touring skis but are more like a touring-world-cup-carver with tip rocker kind of ski. Roughly cut our they weigh in @ 2050gram with 137-103-129 and 190cm so still not super heavy. I will probably shave of atleast 100 maybe...

Back on track! Ok so the project is slowly moving forward, we are currently waiting for our cnc'd template so that we can process our bases perfectly. In the meantime we are preparing our cores and making new molds. I really hate putting together those split papers from snocad-x. Next time I'm buyin...

As always, inspired by Beautiful skis! There is so much I want to ask but generaly, how is working with carbon? Do yo...

Thanks for those tips guys. I'll make sure the CF is wet out completly. Is there any difference in preassure recomended when pressing? Since there is more epoxy, is there risk that too much preassure can press out to much epoxy and leave the fibers too dry? The pressing is still weeks away but the w...

it looks like the triax fiber from hp textiles is 50k fabric (if google translated it correctly) which is way up there. I've seen 3 to 12 k fabric mostly. Does anybody have an opinion as to the importance of this spec? 3k = 3000 filaments per tow, 6k = 6000etc. If I may have a stab at my own questi...

per pair or each? big pow skis made from poplar and glass will not really be under 1800g each unless you do something crazy. a 1240 gram ski will be insanely light, that's like 2 lbs per ski. Most of the skis we make weigh right around 2200g per ski. Big pow skis with plastic topsheets and plastic ...
