Just dropped them off at REI for a grind. Will see how they turn out. My least favorite part for sure. The top sheet is a really light weight triax carbon. I was not sure how it was going to look and i had planed to double it up but just one layer on top of the glass. I like the scotchbrite top shee...

Finished pair #2 today. Wooo!! They are pretty big 147- 128- 137 about 188 in length. They turned out very nice but not really what i wanted. Problems arose mostly from the heat i think...??? Rather then just a top heat blanket i utilized my second blanket on the bottom. My first pair i wanted some ...

I have finally found something more time consuming then ski building. CNC machines. Now in the past i have ran a CNC water jet with very little effort or brain power exerted. Oh not this animal. It was reasonably easy to re-assemble and get working once again. The interface was Shopbot and windows 9...

Good idea but i dont have many. I usually just use spring clamps. :) Some base material is base low compared to the edge so in that case they would not work as well. Im also thinking they are not as strong... Im still going to bring all of mine home from work to add to the dwindling number of tools ...

Those vanes are brand new. Not even totally seated yet. The blade ends will eventually wear down and have that kerf or wear angle all the way across the ends. Dont think the vanes are you problem at all. There are little check valves or regulators on the end of that thing? Are they clean and seals i...

I think there are some mistakes or learning experiences that are unavoidable with any amount of reading and the sidewalls seem to be one of them. The trick for me was permanent 3m concrete and subfloor carpet tape. I can take a core down as thin as i want. Problem is not destroying the core getting ...
