Are you planning to do this above the topsheets? If so, i am wondering about durability issues.

Also, someone mentioned silk... would plain ol' cotton material work? I am rather interested in the results myself... keep us posted.

Hot of the press

Just finished the first ski yesterday. Once they are trimmed mounted and given a good testing period i will post a full report from start to finish. Oh the excitement.

We made some major progress on our project this last weekend. To date this is where we are: bases cut out, the press is finished, profiler is finished, cores are finished aside from profiling. We ran into some slight troubles when it came to the edges though (what a pain bending those turns out to b...

I was just wondering what sort of qualities one would look for in epoxy and if the stuff i am looking at will work. My skibuilding buddy has located a couple places US Composites (Kit Number: EPOX-635413 - $48): http://www.shopmaninc.com/epoxy.html Mr. Epoxy (Kit Number: POX35413 - $54) http://www.m...

Bondo?

Do any of you super smart engineer types know how Bondo would work in place of marine epoxy? I am having a hard time getting marine epoxy locally but there is a marine grade bondo which i could get fairly easily and cheaply. I however don't know if it would do the trick for i know little about bondo...

CAD

I know next to nothing about CAD so this may be a dumb question... but here goes. Since I know little or nothing about it...is there any way to get away without a CAD program or is it the only way to get the precision needed? Also, I do not have a big printer. Is it possible just to make the design ...
