Gelcoat is a great idea...I've been thinking about that for some time, too but am uncertain wheter it will create a surface that is scratchproof enough for a top-layer?

I had the same problem and simply attached the tipspacers with a short rubber strip (the same as laminated above the edge) and super glue.

Try http://www.hendryxskis.se/ Hey, and his workspace is really tiny: http://www.hendryxskis.se/images/work_shop.jpg ;) The graphics are nice...I'm wondering whether he uses sublimated topsheets or printed paper laminated above the fibreglass. Concerning camber his statement is really strange, maybe...

Another finished (single) ski press frame.

Finally, we're done! The single ski press frame is finished. :-D The steel bars are all welded together - no screws so far. There's plenty of space inside for a 205x32x18 cm (WxHxD) mold. Pictures and notes (hover over the images - Flickr rules ;-) ) can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/r...

Ok, if the hex available are not stainless I'll try to find fitting screws here. I'd take 50 for a first. I'm wondering whether you'd want to sell me some other leftovers? I'm especially looking for UHMWPE or ABS sidewalls/tipspacer which I don't seem to find here.
