Called a few snowboarding companies and Lindsay from Action Sports Technologies and got my answer. For future reference if anyone needs to know... You can sublimate on either side of base material without altering the sliding/bonding proprieties. For skiing and snowboarding, it's better to sublimate...

Another sublimation question
What's up guys. I simply wanted to know if sublimation on the sliding side of the base would alter the gliding proprieties. I guess not seeing that it penetrates the material, but could anyone with experience enlighten me? Thanks a lot! Edit. Sorry guys, just realised I posted this in the materials ...

Just sent you a PM. We are extremly interested in this machine. I own a snowskating company (www.ambitionsnowskates.com) based in Quebec, Canada. We need a better machine to finish up our die-cut boards.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I know this is quite old but I've had experience with this and it may help some forum lurkers someday. I am no expert but let me tell you this. I have made boards with corona treated bases and they definately don't hold up near as good as sanding/flaming. And yes, snowboard base material is consider...

I was talking about plastic snowskates. These are completly made out of plastic. Problem is that the plastic tends to loose its tail/nose curvature with time (as you always put pressure downards on them to perform tricks). I am simply wondering how I could make the board keep their shape longer with...

UHMW vs HDPE
Hey guys, sorry for posting two questions one after the other but these are pretty much the only questions I have. UHMW vs HDPE.. I know UHMW has a much higher impact strenght than HDPE. But I was wondering wich one was more flexible. Im asking because other companies make their plastic snowskates o...

Fiberglass in this situation?
Hey guys. I'm brigning you a question on something different. I build snowskates, single level boards. Single levels are made out of wood (like a skateboard) or plastic. I'm all set for my wooden snowskates but I'm having the same problem every company has had with plastic snowskates. When they're b...

Triaxial for snowskate
Hey guys,
I was wondering if 22oz Triaxial with no mat would be fine under a snowskate. Snowskates are already 7 ply hard maple laminated decks so they already have some good stifness.
I found some on raka website
