Edges with smaller "feet" or "teeth"
no matter what you call them you know what im talking about, the little feet that keep the edge secured to the board/ski. We ordered edges for this years build and they were only able to make us edges that they (CDW) said were .5mm shorter feet (into the board). When they arrived they were 1.68mm sh...

Ah wrentham, yea we are in Brighton. we're on the same turf but maybe w...

haha there is def more value to FEA then just cool simulations. We used cosmos, the FEA add on to solidworks to design our frame. IF your not making center supports you can generate some serious stress in a press, and its better to overdesign then to fling a bolt across the room or have it snap when...

thanks G-man great info! That all pretty much makes sense to me. I think we underestimated just how hard it is to bond PE. We were going to try and peel some test pieces on an Instron with some different levels of abrasion and a more controlled flaming but we really dont have the time right now to b...

sidewall delam
Hey all, we have had some issues with sidewalls delaminating. We currently use UHMWPE sidewall from crown. We abrade it with 80 grit paper and flame treat it and some of our boards are still having it delam and some are not. Do you guys have any other tricks for bonding sidewall. I was thinking of u...

Do you press with a soft material on top?
Hi, I searched and only found a little info so.... I was just wondering, of those of you who have pneumatic presses, do you put like a high durometer rubber on top of the top sheet before you press? We've been getting some imperfections under the top sheet and I think its because of the uneven destr...
