Re: Neb Powshape

The new board is a little soft but carves so good and is super nice in the powder. I think I will make the core a tiny bit thicker on the next one. Here’s a pic from 2 days ago. I’m not sure why there are 2 of the same photo. A010B8D1-2352-42B5-8B45-8AD7F31B2208.jpeg A010B8D1-2352-42B5-8B45-8AD7F31B...

Re: Neb Powshape

Cheers! Glad you like it! Nice new board...looks like it has a little "spoon" in the nose? Thanks @chrismp ! That one rides the best so far. I’ve had some incredible days lately on that board! No spoon nose but the tip spacer somehow didn’t want to sit flush with the core and climbed up o...

Re: epoxy cure time

another option for the future buy heat blankets. They're not expensive nowadays from China. How cheap is cheap? I have looked and I haven't found any within my budget (which is tiny because I'm still in high school lol). Could you send links? Check out Alirubber. I got mine from them. I also have a...

Re: Neb Powshape

Unfortunately it was raining here too. The "Föhn" winds brought us warm temperatures and rain :/ As for the epoxy fully curing. I usually leave my board to cure for about 5 days before I cut the flash and finish them. Some epoxies can take up to 7 days to fully cure depending on the condi...

Re: Neb Powshape

Great picture, is was in Val d'Isère ? Thanks! No, that was in Les Crosets, Suisse. Yesterday was the last day of the season here and here’s the last board I built this year. I tried some wood veneer for the first time. It came out pretty good! D702917D-22B5-44F4-9AB6-B83D37C28F0A.jpeg These are fro...

Re: Neb Powshape

Love the shape of those! Hit me up if you have specific questions on the infusion process. Cheers! Thanks man! I sent you a PM and I’m mainly wondering if I can infuse the top sheet and fiberglass on a flat piece of aluminum or should I pre-curve the plate like the camber mold but the other way? Th...

Re: Neb Powshape

Nice quiver and great shots! Looks like a great riding spot you have there! Thanks! I have a powder board fetish. Yes! I moved here 20 years ago for the snowboarding and DH biking. It’s a wonderful place. There are a bunch of ski resorts linked together crossing over from Switzerland into France ca...

Re: Neb Powshape

Here is my quiver of pow boards so far. I have another one on the way. I just need to lay it up. All the pieces are ready more or less. The one with the flax and carbon X was the sweetest riding one overall but I broke the tail a few days ago. It was very soft and lovely in deep snow but I kinda aug...

Re: can i fix messed up core?

You could get creative with a tip spacer too. Is that the nose? I had to turn my last board into a swallow tail due to the same mistake recently. I’m very happy I did because it’s feeling so good in the deep snow!

Re: Neb Powshape

Thanks Chris! I modified some snips and that works best for me currently. I just need to take the time and then I can get them pretty good.

Re: Neb Powshape

The binding inserts on my first 2 boards were laughably far from ideal. I asked a friend with a CNC machine to make me a jig. I think my next board should line up much better. BB139FA7-A88B-4D90-9598-F6AEFAA6CAC5.jpeg I also welded up an edge bender and it seemed like a good idea but it’s pretty use...

I am thinking about trying this method at 1:28 with the sidewalls and planer. Anybody done something similar?
