1. Would it be more accurate printing from a .dxf file? 2. How does he resize them, do you know? 1. Not sure. 2. I believe he just re-scales the shape in his program to the correct over-all or running length and everything adjusts in proportion to that. All I know for sure is things come out straig...

It may be more of a file or program issue than a printer issue. My friend at work often has to re-size drawings before printing them if they are imported from an other program. The snow-cad files I give him all need it done. If you need, he will print templates on paper for $5 a sheet plus shipping....

Do you know of a reliable way to flame treat UHMW at home?

I'd suggest using a Backflow prevention device so as not to contaminate your drinking water.

Sounds like a cool idea. You may be able to get enough heat out of your home water heater depending on the size of your bladder.

Don't over look the fact that given two boards with the same core profile, if you use more glass on top of one, it will have more glass and it will be thicker.

Woah, that sucks man. I've got an '07 Forester, no issues (knock wood).
The link to the subaru forum in kelvin's link had a lot more info too.
Almost bought a slightly used '06 Outback, glad I didn't.
Good luck man.

Ok I'm building my bag my self (idiotic but hopefully cheap) ou of house building foil. I need one of those plastic sealers! The best thing about the bag I used is it's size. Having all the extra material on the sides allows the bag to fold over the 3-D shape of the mold without bridging any...

I Don't mind a bit. What's bothering me is that I can't find the notebook I wrote it down in. I know it tapers from 2.3mm at the tip to 8.8mm it front of the forward inserts, holds the 8.8 to just behind the rear inserts and tapers down to 2.5mm at the tail. I've had the board out a couple of...

Every wood shop I've worked in used West System for one reason: It's pretty damn fool-proof. In my opinion, if you're inexperienced with regard to using epoxy, the extra money for one you know will work, even if you don't have everything just-so, may be trivial compared to the cost of losing your co...

Judging solely by how boards I've owned wear, I'd say 4001 is harder.
YMMV

I think Bruce Varsara at Coiler may use a two stage process for some of his boards. The only problems I see with what you're descibing are the fact that you'll be trimming along the steel edge twice, which may reduce edge life, and if you let your bag bridge over the side of the board you'll get epo...

I've had good luck with Formica and Wilsonart laminates. The matte finish works good and is the cheapest finish. Not sure how it will hold up to multiple uses though.
