Ok, first pair out of the press a few minutes ago.. Quite happy with them. One tip spacer looks like it wasn't sitting perfectly. Not to worry, it won't affect the ski performance.

I like the look of that vertically laminated beach. I saw that at Hagebau too. Didn't think of using it as a ski core. Anyone else have experience with it?

Yeah, I know what you mean. Pre bending your tip and tail helps so the edges sit flush to your mould, and rabbeting also helps, but I don't have a perfect solution for you.
