The Monkey Press For Sale

Update: SOLD! I haven't built any snowboards in a few years now, and I don't plan to build any more. Building boards for 15 years feels like enough for me, so I'm selling off my equipment and supplies, starting with my press. For Sale: the Monkey Press. This includes the frame, pneumatics and bladde...

Archived articles from skibuilders.com

You've probably noticed that while the forum works, there is no content at skibuilders.com. All the how-to's, articles, etc. are missing. This stuff wasn't restored with the forum last year because the owners want to redo that content and update it. Until then, you can find the old stuff in The Wayb...

Re: What happened to skibuilders.com?

Yea, some volunteers restored the forum and moderate it now, but the main site and it's content never got restored. The owner wanted to re-do it, but it hasn't happened yet. You can find it all in the wayback machine though: https://web.archive.org/web/20181101111933/skibuilders.com/ I'll make a mor...

Re: Forum software updated

Okay, remote avatars are technically a security hole in phpBB. They were disabled by default for all versions 3.2.6+, so when I upgraded from 3.2.5 they got disabled. I've re-enabled them, but the feature is slated for removal in a future release. So I've enabled avatar image upload. Seems to work f...

Oh, you're right!! I'll look into it.
Okay, I think they're all back. It appears we allow remote avatars (avatars linked to from another website) and it looks like that option got turned off during the upgrade.

Forum software updated

I've updated the phpBB forum software from 3.2.5 to 3.3.0. Please let me know if you find any problems. I'll look into getting the banner image back soon.

Thanks.

Re: Fugeskis 2019

Nice work, those look excellent! I also like the tip protectors :) I'm curious about how they're applied. Are they molded in with the ski during layup (and then, are the screws just ornamental), or are they applied afterwards and held in by the screws? If it's the later, do you have a template you'...
