Need fire hose

Hi to all,
I need fire hose for my press. Does somebody have fire hose with diameter 5'' to 6'' inch (15 cm)? I need 4 meters.

Thank you in advance

Best regards

In this case, it is all about trial and error. But good advice is never superfluous.

Thank you all!!

As I have read ash is good material for the middle part of the board because of the strength. But it is better to use another wood for the rest in order to make ski or snowboard lighter.

type of wood for the core

Hi to all. I know that type of wood effects on the stiffness of the future product. There is next available wood in my country for ski or snowboard production: beech, ash, birch and aspen. (there are also other types but it seems to me that they are not suitable). I have no experience in this area, ...

Mongo style is not that complicated. I think I can perform this work. But the only thing that disturbs me is bolts. Somewhere I have seen that under high pressure they can be deformed as they work on shear.
But in general this is good and cheep variant.

I have seen this Kingswood video before, it is good idea to use less metal and reduce deflection to the minimum. It seems to me than 0.1" is not big value.

after turning the handle mechanism closes. ordinary lever.

you mean I have to put some bar or other steel profile in order to reduce deflection of upper beams? This bar will work on tension.

Could you tell me, what is limit deflection value of beam? As I know deflection effects on the process of compression of boards or skis.

Who can tell me, what is allowable deflection in the middle of the beam? The materials in my country are really expensive now. I would like to choose the cheapest way to construct my press. I have applied the force equal to 80 psi to the bottom and to the upper part of the press. Is it right? PS all...
