8th pair
We built another pair last week. Montucky made us 4 new bags that work great. It seems much easier to get the 4 bags on and off and they are slightly smaller in circumference which is better. Thanks again. The new bags: http://lh6.ggpht.com/_WWlE16CVFao/S5CJlvv7NBI/AAAAAAAACHU/ArY5LQzs9-s/s800/IMG_3...

cheap wood could be pallet wood you piece together. When I started looking for pallets they were everywhere and free. I know Kam built a pair like this and the skis I am on everyday have pallet wood cores. I probably have 30-40 days on them now. They have some cherry, oak, and poplar in them. I thin...

damn those are purdy. Love the wood veneer. Certainly wood has some nice stuff. We are working on a pair with a new tip that should come out a little different than the rest we have built. Did the ash cores handle better because the ski is heavier and possibly more damp? I am curious because I reall...

hey montucky, we just sent you up some base material. I hope you get that soon. I would be willing to provide a few more meters for testing if it doesn't work out. Let me know. Heliski -- could you post some photos of your bases that you have cut out with this machine? I am very curious to see how t...

Good eye. I am standing on the clean air side of ARO and the photo is looking back towards station. I was there for a year 06-07 working for NOAA. Did you ever work with Sven? I know a couple cubers. That project is pretty freakin' huge. I still don't know what the heck a neutrino or a muon really i...

just curious, do you guys think this was only because of the fg weights (and choice of glass) or does it have anything to do with the horizontally laminated birch plywood he uses for his cores? I know a couple builders on here have used horiz laminated cores with good results (but they probably used...
