This really is a great idea. I've done the same technique with counter-tops. when I watch the ski building videos of the big companies they just trow them down and it doesn't seem like they line anything up. even center line. I'm always amazed.

Establishing Base Edge

The more and more I build skis the more I get into tuning skis. What are you guys using to establish the base edge? i.e what type of file? and holder are you using?

I heard back from the screen printer. They will make a screen print for $50. He also said vinyl die cuts would be a good option. But I've had problems with the poly beading up occasionally on the vinyl. . no use the vinyl as the stencil for screen printing. All the lettering on my wood veneer has b...

If its good. I could see renting a car and doing a 3hr trip to go ski. I lived in Denver back in the day and it was always a 3-5hr trip with ski traffic. ;-) So feel free to suggest some montains that are 3hrs away.

Any news on this topic? I have been using the stuff from fiberglass supply. I like the glass with the exception of the inconsistency of the fibers. I use a clear topsheet over pigmented resin and this really accentuates the voids in the very big strands. I would love a resource for some consistent,...

Ski Vise Options.

Hey Gang, I got some Christmas money burning a hole in my pocket... So instead of buying more ski building stuff I figure I should upgrade my ~100year old ski tuning stuff. What do you guys use for ski vices to wax your skis? looks like there are many options out there but basically they all look al...
