Some of the alpine board manufactures out there use rubber sheet as a dampening material. A board of mine that I cut apart had perforated rubber and below the titanal layers. I was thinking about it yes. Took it up to 60psi and it didn't seem to flex any. Seems like it might work. Plan is to take away one layer of particle board underneath and add the mold block and another sheet of MDF on top of the MDF. I've been at this so long I just want to produce something at this...

Have you looked into making your own heat blanket? You can make your own for about 1/2 the price. Requires some math but its pretty straightforward.
