I have tried the happy monkey method. The ptex always pulls away at the ends and rips the Ptex apart. The problem is you cant get the Ptex to have a solid attachment to the wood. I profile the core and than I profile stock ptex with the same tool path. I than use my table saw to rip the ptex into .5...

Let me save you a lot of time. It doesn’t work and it never will! I tried for months to figure out a tool path that wouldn’t rip off the ptex. The problem is the minimal bond at the end of the effective edge. You will never be able to attach is well enough of the vibration to keep from ripping it of...

Seeking snowboard manufacturing assistant

Great posts. Thanks for the help. I did press a board with my new set up and had zero blemishes. However, I know it could be just plain good luck. Its weird because I only have issues with printed top sheets. Wood veneers always come out perfect. I think one of the big problems is using 1 press for ...

Hey Twizz, dont you think that would make the pinch point worse at the tip/tail molds?

Getting uniform pressure through the press

IMO, There is an inherent design flaw with most of our presses. It happens when the bladder doesn’t squeeze every section of the mold at the same pressure. In my case, I have pinch points at the top of the tip molds thus making it virtually impossible to get full pressure at the curve of the tip and...

IMO its lack of uniform pressure. I have the same problem at the tips and tail. Without full uniform pressure applied to the entire ski you get hot air voids that bubble up and then shrink to an indent. Its not necessarily about increasing your pressure but making sure your ski is getting pressed un...

First decide what size of board you are building. I use 1/2" sidewalls, so subtract 1/2" on each side to get your core width. Sounds like u need to do a lot more research before you start a build.

I use www.wix.com. Super easy and you can fully customize everything. I still purchased my website name from Godaddy.com and then forward with a mask to www.ozsnowboards.com. I have tried the godaddy website tonight and it sucks.
