Re: Jonrezz’s Build Log
One more thing :) With your angled router bit you dont need a router with tilt base. Just put it in your hand held router and do it manually. Afaik the main reason chrismp did build his setup (and i tried too) was the lack of angled router bits with bearing. In his setup the router is mounted at an ...

Re: Jonrezz’s Build Log
The thing with the lower rolls is that with a table you have no good points to slide the ski over, thats where chrismp hump is coming from. With my bigger, longer and partly more cambered boards chrismp setup didnt work so well for me, i had to press the ski down to decamber it, otherwise it would s...

Re: Jonrezz’s Build Log
Regarding you sidewall problem. Chrismp has a similar setup, Router from below and the little hump you have. I know he is using it a lot without problem. I used it a few times and i hated it, exactly because of the risk you encountered (i had the same problem). One solution is a Rollerblade/Skateboa...

Re: Vacuum infusion snowboard layup
Yes it is a sublimated PA12 topsheet. Don't understand what it is. I built two boards with such topsheets before and they were perfect. Did you use a backcoat on the topsheet? If not, then here is your problem. Experienced the same with dark full sublimated TS & base. Without the backcoat the h...

Re: Round Top skis 19/20
Better to start cutting and grinding after 1-2 days if there is no emergency. The epoxy needs 4-6 days to fully cure. Before that you can still influence e.g. the camber when flexing them too strong. Was written here several times....

Re: Round Top skis 19/20
What also helps is to glue a piece of waste wood outside of the abs/pu. Like this the topsheet and fibres dont kink down over the edge and resin gets sucked out more easily

Re: Round Top skis 19/20
You created a resin trap. Topsheet folded over the side works good to keep resin trapped with vacuum One solution is to have the fibres still sticking out so the resin can flow along the fibres to get sucked out.
