What is funny is that we have gone back to using a nice pair of scissors. Find it cuts better and way better control.

Saw these in person today. No machine tuning is possible. Marshal told me he tuned them by hand and from what from I can see, any production version is going to have to be done the same way.

Pretty crazy looking for sure.

Anyone know what the sqeeze clamp type thing he has at 1:02-1:05 in the video? It looks alot like a sqeeze clamp but dont think it is. I believe it is some sort of husky nail puller we got at home depot. Works ok in the right situation, though we don't use it all that much, so sort of funny that it...

Hey Iggy Would you have time to explain what you're going for with the pneumatic rams you added to your presses. Thanks Pretty basic idea actually. Our cores now run into the tips of our skis. Before we just had tipspacer up there, but that is way more susceptible to having tips snap. So this year ...

Iggy you said that factory is K2? speaking of edge benders, does anyone know how Moment bends the edges to squared off tips? Yeah that is K2's prototype factory at their Seattle HQ. I was able to get a tour of it a few years ago. It was pretty cool. And Moment doesn't bend the edges in their tips -...

MM, per crown even alcohol and mineral spirits can damage the flame treated molecules. I don't worry about it, cause I re flame everything. We've used acetone since I was making skis in Tacoma to clean tipspacers. Sidewalls go directly from the box to the cores. But we were curious about it, so we ...

kind of like the matchstick idea, but a lot bigger tabs with holes for dowels that will be glued to the cassette. Anything that impedes the expansion of the base during pressing can cause deformations. Ask iggy about that one. Good luck with the magnets. Remember magnets slide easily. They have ver...

Bump. Ok, this stuff needs to get out of here. I have another eight 50" rolls of fiberglass coming in and need to space. I think I have anywhere between 8-12 of these 6.25" sections. I just want it out of here. $30 per 6.25" Section + shipping. They are 162m long, so that is about $0....
