But there might be other stuff that hold up...

And the goal has turned from just doing it to doing it before fifty...or so...anyway. I have finally got some speed in...

Good bye planer, good bye router....
After destroying several cores using router w. router bridge, planer with crib/jig. I felt like, should I keep doing this? Not that the cores or the wood are very expensive. It was more like there where no skis coming out of my process!! Which annoyed me big time. I probably did something wrong with...

I always save all the plastic bottles and plastic cans(?) just for the epoxi mixing. So I say save the money for the after ski beer!..;-) Sammer you are using vacuum press, right? Something I wonder about is the storage vacuum bags. http://www.spacebag.com/ I have one for blankets etc. It's really r...

Head Monkey, you're probably right. I need a much more stable or stronger machine...:-( I read a couple of articles how you make jigs for tapered profiles. But I'm not sure if it's suitable for skicores. Definitely not for snowboards But I will change the blade first before I throw this experiment o...

OAC, nice work. I think you could be onto something good. I will be curious to hear the results. Are you planning on doing the entire core length at once (like 333) or half of it like dynstar or K2? I will do more like the Dynastar trick, but not cut and join. I will do the whole core. The jig will...

I was also thinking about profiling with a band saw vertically. Does anyone think making a negative jig and running the core and the jig past the band would work. Obviously there needs to be a fence also. Really like a planer crib just in the vertical plane. Like what dynastar does as mentioned abo...
