edge and base thickness ... flex

Have u guys some experience about base and edge thickness and the influence to the flex? Unfortunately i did another model with the new thicker material, so i cant really tell if there is any difference. Would like to use the thicker material also on my older model and now im unsure if i should mod ...

Not sure if the concrete will break over time ... there are products with more and less flex... And some of the self levelling products are limited to less then 10mm thickness per application (had some mindf.ck with this when doing my kitchen) I would try to find a nice 10mm steel plate and mount it...

I did find the info on some sublim forum .. and lost it again. It doesnt need to be breathable or not Think about this (bottom to top) Baseplate Heating Mat Alu Plate -- sublim print and target material --- foam alu plate this whole stack you pack in the vaccuum bag and voila ... or not ;) this i me...

forget the 2 layers of 3mm .... way better if you use one thick plate ... warps less under pressure

you could level with epoxy too

Btw. friends ha also troubles with similar setup. I came to two conclusions: 1. on vacuum maybe a nice topplate would help, like 2mm or more alu to create even pressure (calculate the added heatsink!) 2. with this setup you need also a superflat bottom, imho the heating mats are not superflat ... so...

I think it depends where you ski. For a slope ski its fine. For off piste when crashing rocks the cap is more fragile ... but thats just my personal opinion.

Buy a Rückschlagventil at the next plumber/baumarkt and you should see a big improvement. Just a few euros this part.

and the cap came out really nice. Looking forward to hear from you after riding it if works like you did plan it. Personally i dont like caps due to the bad repairability ... But if your idea works its worth it!

Speak to the guys from plum. Maybe theres a way. I dont know why the have a problem to put the hooks in an envelope and send somewhere... Btw. there are no screws included with the plums. Have some of the woms here, the quality and look is supernice. Do not know why they dont offer the tip/tail hook...

Like written in your thread, use a check valve between pump and vaac tank. Look for one where the spring is not too strong, dont know how it works with vaac & too strong spring. Mine i got with the venturi from veneer supplies. Just test your system without a bag, then you see if the system is g...
