Hi, Is the core dried using a separate heat cycle prior to use? Your boards come out concave, but flattern out when subject to a second cycle. Does this mean the topsheet is flat and become concave? Could you provide a sense of the width of the edge rebate and how the core is held within the cassett...

I was thinking about it in terms of the cross-section. Square bar creates four points of contact with the sled, round bar creates two. So if you are pushing for fine tolerences, then a round bar will be more tolerant of any manufacturing faults that result in twist. The cause could be the angles of ...

Taking a piece out of the sidewall at 45 degrees to the blade can help.

I suspect there is a good reason to use round bar.

Nice one richie, glad to see you are up and running again!

Shouldering and core shift are two sides of the same coin.

Thanks man!

The stitching in the fabric is holding everything together. I have hung and examined a few sheets and it is unaffected in this instance.

The epoxy I'm using is fairly placid. As this is just a low volume approach, I expect I won't be using more than 300g at a time.

Just building skis. The machine works as well - it hits its mark. The fibre is heated before it is dipped, the epoxy is held at a constant temp - indirect heating. The dipped fabric is nipped and compacted as it is moves through the final set of rollers. The accuracy of the final set of rollers is k...

Great work man - I missed all the entries you made in Nov. You might want to replace the topsheet with a clear urethane. Something relatively thick and self leveling. You mentioned that t-nuts were a bit of a stress. If you want sight of a simple set up for ideas, then shoot me an e-mail and I will ...

Two parrallel roller, tensioned using compression springs. Apply the glue from a plastic container with a few holes to limit/control flow. Empty, clean and fill with epoxy for the core, topsheet, tipspacers through etc. Plastic (polypro) container with a lid is good, just need to be careful when dri...

Good to know your experience nii - but it doesn't depend on the tape? I'd seen it in a Boheme video, hence the suggestion.

If you are having thought like that nii, you might want to consider creating a defined boarder and add inserts to define the snowboard shape you want. Kinda like how you start a jigsaw puzzle. This will ensure the cassette remains re-useable for various shapes in the future.
