we've used it on the base at about 90°C and it didn't melt...so i guess you're good to go. still had some epoxy that got squeezed between the base and the contact paper though. but it was considerably less than without the paper.

does the drive drum have to be so big? i came across conveyor belt rolls that could fit our needs at a reasonable price, they just don't have the big diameter.

couldn't you just try to modify some metal pipe? i think i could have it PU-coated pretty cheap, just need a solution to mount it and make it run smoothly.

great little article! i have no clue what all the numbers mean, but i get the essence ;)
one question though: i always thought the bonding is influenced by a couple of other variables like type of flame, flame size, oxygen available in the room, etc.
are those things neglectable?

as for the hose why not go to your local fire department and ask them if they have some used hose that fits your needs? ...thats the way i did it and i got 20m of 75mm diameter hose for free (of course i donated a couple of beers). i'm using them in a cordura frame press and they're working like a c...
