I never heard back from them. I'm going to give them a call and see what's up.

There is also a button on the top menu for English.

I always get a kick out of the translations to English. I don't plan on winning the market, so I don't think I'll be Flying With My Dream anytime soon.

Nice Guestbook!

Once you get your calipers, double check your tip spacer thickness as well. I found mine from ski builders to be 2.2 mm. Not that .2 mm is that much but when your calipers measure in hundredths of a mm you start getting really picky. When your thicknesses are spot on, you won't see a transition from...

It took me a few minutes to remember the abominable snow monster.

I like it!

I have sandblasted hundreds of edges. It takes time but it is necessary if you want to do things right.

I run my MDF spacers through my planer all the time. I also usually use an old MDF ski template as a test core on a new setup. I don't notice any dulling at all of the blades. The only time I notice a rapid dulling is with bamboo. As we all know, super dusty. One of these days I am going to get one ...

I see what you are saying now.

Another advantage to having constant radius molds is that you can achieve different rise heights and lengths with the same mold. You don't have as much flexibility with a mold that has a separate defined tip radius.

Thanks for all the compliments on the skis. All the hard work and planning has paid off. Powderho, I used to preheat my cattrack in the kitchen oven before I got a second heat blanket. That thing is so damn heavy I thought it would break the oven rack. I have never had mine suspended since I seem to...

Coda dye subs on glossy white PBT and it comes with masking on it. It cost $40 plus shipping and the turnaround time was very quick. Chad was also very good with communication to make sure everything was the way I needed it. Before I was spending $10 on fabric, $20 on topsheet, and a couple bucks ad...

I finally made a pair of skis where everything came out perfect. This is a pair that I could actually see myself selling and feel proud of it. This pair I call the Soul Surfer and it is designed to be a full on powder ski. It has early rise, early taper, and a little bit of reverse camber by using t...

Thanks for the heads up. When I am doing my edge relief on the cores the bit is in the scenario in which you described. I have made some shims for this router which gives it a stable platform and moves my hand well away from this open cutting area. http://i714.photobucket.com/albums/ww150/dohparty/D...

FreshPimp, how do you like your Porter Cable tilting router? I have been making shims for my Bosch Colt but it would be nice to change the angle on the fly instead of having to unscrew the shims every time I want to change it. Plus my fine adjust on my Colt router is starting to crap out on me. Chec...

I used some vertical grain fir on my last pair of cores. I got it free so I threw it into the mix with some oak and bamboo. Like MM said, it can be difficult to work with. I was trying to shape it with my router before attaching sidewalls and it kept splitting, even with a brand new router bit. Inse...

I have used Titebond III when gluing up my bamboo sidewalls with excellent results. It has a longer open working time which is nice if you need it.
