I built a press like you describe by making alternating 2x4s and 2x3 to make an i-beam of sorts. But mine is a cloth press, so the whole thing is wrapped with cordura. that sounds a little precarious.

press/hose question

i recently purcahsed 9.5in layflat hose from Skookum. i am making a cloth press and, at the moment, the frame is planned to be 8in wide. is it OK that the hose will be wider than the mold when not inflated? i've done the math and it is about 6in wide when FULLY inflated. but of course it will not be...

has anyone tried routing bamboo cores? it seems like the fibers in the bamboo might screw up that option.

adjustable camber-length mold with a pneumatic press (?)

I was wondering if anyone has thought of or has made an adjustable lenght and camber mold for a pneumatic press. I have seen it done with vaccuum presses and was wondering if it could be done with a pneumatic press. Thanks!

Epoxy

i've looked at QCM and some other websites for epoxy and was wondering what others have used. As well, how do you purchase the epoxy on QCM?
