Looking at the gate side again it is actually not going to stop deflection at all. The clips are 90 degrees off where they should be. All they are doing is stopping the gate from swinging down away from the press. When you pump it up the top and bottom forms will move away from each other and the lo...

You need to make the back and front symmetrical. With the gate just on one side that side won't deflect as much but the other unsupported side will deflect a lot. That will mean weird warping in any boards you build. I agree with the others. The only thing stopping deflection on one side is 3 thin h...

OK thanks I was looking at the moment skis videos and they had a stack of about 10 edged bases on a shelf which they would just spray glue to a flat metal casette sheet. No recessed cassette. I haven't had any warping issues. I usually do the base cutting and edging in the morning then spray glue on...

I had some feedback from some people who have tried innegra that the close weaves are very hard to wet out effectively and can lead to delams due to poor fibre encapsulation. (it is polypropylene fibre same as an ice cream tub that if you mix epoxy in it you can often pop it back out when its set - ...

snowboard tip/tail molds can be significantly larger radii than a lot of ski molds as well (+ the tip/tail shapes are much tighter bends than a snowboard - except the points on your swallow tails). 3/4 wrap is way easier to do and a lot of people on here are just building for themselves and 3/4 hold...

What are people's experiences with cutting bases out, attaching edges and then using them a day/multiple days later. You see stacks of edged bases in the factory videos that they use through the day. Surely the layup masters don't start an hour later than the edgers. They must sit there overnight. r...

yeah mine is a bit bowed lengthwise but the planer pushes it flat and the cors come out OK. It's not bowed side to side - that would mess up your core thickness

http://donektools.com/free-cnc-router-software/links-2/ I don't have a drag knife but I remember watching a video about the donek drag knife and at corners it makes special g code to create square corners by sending the knife in a curve defined by the offset of the cutting point. I'm sure the video...
