I usually get 4-5 boards out of one band saw blade. I have a 12" craftsman bandsaw and buy the Sears blades($20). I find the 1/4" width works best for me. The blade dulls every board but I just go slower and it works well.

I am making a full rocker mold and trying to figure out how much rocker in my mold to get a final tip/tail rise of 8mm-ish. I tried a 10mm rocker mold and the board went flat out of the press. I tried to search the forum but that is pretty much useless. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, you use the same die for the inside and outside pieces.

I agree with Shif. Its a bad idea. You would be creating expensive weak points with no real advantages.

Thanks for the input Team08. I did some testing today with "ok" results. I would love to get a clicker but the thousand dollar starting price tag is a bit of an issue! I have a couple of other ideas that I think might work. I will post results

The epoxy is locking the steel rule into place. It maybe to brittle for this kind of application. I will find out tomorrow when I test it.

The small lip allows you to clamp down on the edge and twist your wrist to bend the edge slightly. It works great if you are just trying to fine tune. Here is the never summer vid, go to :54 seconds in.

Just checked it out and it is a very similar idea. I have a radi at the tip/tail with straight lines near the bindings that connects to a small radi at the center. It looks like Solomon has 4 straight lines. It's all centered around the idea of double side cut radius that has been around for a while.
