Second that for Prowder. The stuff is great. Just have to make sure you don't over tighten the tip and tail hooks, and lock tight the screws. definitely locktite the lot the Prowder Saddles especially have a lot of screws with typically 3-4 turns of engagement only. Spend some time grinding any sha...

OK so it sounds like we have 5 or 6 of us interested so lets see if we can get something going. Mike when you in town? We need your expertise at this... how can we have the First Annual PNW Builders Convention without the Head Monkey? Just think, if this works, 5 years from now we'll be having it a...

Thank you both for the updates!! All releases will be held on github now, and they're never removed. No more wond...

Hi Richie, works great on the surface 3. My only issue is the pick points are pretty tiny at high res so they are really difficult to drag with the stylus. I could change red and it would sort this I think. Dan Graf has just tweaked the control point size so its double the current size from 5px to ...

My design is very similar. I used 360UB50.1 universal beam , which is 360mm deep and from memory the web is only 6 or 7mm thick and the flanges approx 175mm wide x 12mm thick. So just a little bit deeper beam than you are proposing. My press beams are 2.5 metres long. 2 on top 2 on the bottom so its...

Whats beats owning a vintage Montana Robot Crystal Glide ??
Owning 2 of course! Adding to my collection of vintage robotic Montana tuning gear that's sat on my trailer gathering rust and dust the past 4 years!!!! I've just scored a beauty, slightly later model with Siemens PLC (big deal) with side loading feed for skis, still with a 115mm stone though so its...

Re: Working in New Zealand?
Hey, think I convinced my girlfriend to spend the south side winter of 2016 in New Zealand :) Was wondering if some of you worked there as skiing instructors (or did another job that allows you to be on snow every day), able to give me some hints where to go/not to go. Cheers Philipp Have a look at...

Got a tip. Really a fogger here for the bandsaw would be ideal I think, but crisco or vasaline wiped down the sidewall will lubricate the cutter bit. In big shops they are useing glycol in the rapid flash cutting machines and shapers. brilliant idea , especially the fogger mist, I will try non oily...

Re: Cutting tools for ski building
Hi, First post here. We have a fully equipped millwork shop and building some skis. We have been doing the beveled edge on the shaper and the wood- epoxy- fiberglass cloth construction seems to destroy insert carbide cutters pretty quickly. Likewise we are trimming the pressed skis on a small bands...

Looks like you've had an epic time lately mate have you actually got any time for real work and board building or is it just ride ride ride between shovelling snow off your roof?
