Just make sure your running length is at least about 100mm shorter than your effective edge. 50mm each end. Unless you are doing a fish or similar, then you don't need to worry so much at the tail. I usually draw the shape of the board I want first then you can work on the camber profile from there....

Are you talking about the curve up of your board at the tip and tail? Or the radius along the sidewall where the effective edge turns into the tip and tail? If its the first one then you want something around 400-550mm radius. If you get some A3 paper and draw some 5:1 scale drawings you will know w...

The round rod will work great. The ally angle won't allow you to get good adjustment. You need your table made pretty solid as the load you impart to make the rod bend to your profile can be quite high and I have found it could pull my vac table set up out of shape. Save the ally angle to make your ...

Hey two pretty big upgrades to the press lately. A single hose big enough that I don't need a cat track anymore and can do 3d shapes. My molds are 400mm wide so you can get an idea of size. http://i1362.photobucket.com/albums/r686/gavwa08/20140806_152922b_zpsaf355003.jpg [/URL] And an even bigger up...

Hey Dtrain, sent you a PM. The veneers I use are pure timber veneer, no paper back. They are damn fragile but with a bit of care seem easy enough to use. I had quite a bit of resin make it's way through the veneer onto the top, it made the veneer topsheet nice and durable but made some messy spots t...

I just ran the veneer through an A3+ printer. Printed straight on easy as. I need to find a hack so I can print the full length though. At the moment my printer software only options up to 1250mm long. So I did it from both ends. It was about two weeks between printing and pressing so the ink was we...
