Re: 6"x106yds vectorply triax.

Just a heads up I know composite one has some 6"x106yds of triax vectorply. Typically you can only by this by the roll which is like $850! I asked local composite one not so long ago about 6" or 12" rolls in 3X and they said not available only full roll $750. 2X with mat available in...

how about to use slip roller? All modifications needed with grinder make the groove. You can buy one for $120. Probably you can find cheaper on craigslist or local used machine shop dealer. Also can be used to roll basis with edges and cassettes. http://www.grizzly.com/outlet/12-Slip-Roll-22-Gauge/T...

SO, I went down to the scrap yard and found some ibeams... They are 7" by 14" and 20' long at 38lbs/ft. They are only $190 bucks a piece so a pretty good deal from what I can tell... I'm not sure but to me they seem a little tall... I used 2ea of 14'' and 1ea 12". BTW 7 inches wide y...

how about use 10" "U"channel on each side of I-beam total of 8. That should count for something.

Remember this kind of work will add a lot of time for welder. Good metal fabricator should know what you need for reinforcement

Currently, I'm up to 21 different routers. I use each one for a single dedicated ski building task. I use everything from trim routers all the way up to big 3 1/2hp routers that are mounted to shaper tables and CNC machines. As I move a ski down the assemble line, all I have to do is reach up and p...

MR - I think you have said before that you insulate for a living, so your heat box will be great and steel might be the way to go, if you want to maximise the transfer of heat into the cassette.? this is exactly my idea and double cat-tracks should distributed heat evenly but one of the determining...

richuk, i agree with using alum as well, far superior. why aluminum superior? I read where people recommend steel cattracks bottom cattracks should help eliminate imperfection in bottom mold. currently I have no plans for heat except heated enclosure and bottom cattracks should help in air circulat...

besides concrete you can try: topcoat one don't have rocks in it, grout, nonshrinking grout, masonry mortar.

Personally wouldn't even try concrete for mold making. I thought about epoxy mortar instead.

cattracks

I'm going to buy steel for cattracks. So far my plans to get 3/4x3/4 14g. few questions: 1. does it worse to go 1/2x1 14g instead? 2. if I go with 3/4x3/4 in 16 gauge will it be to thin? 3.how about 1/2x1 in 16g will this work? 4. somewhere I saw pictures with 2 cattracks one above and one below wit...
