I'm going to guess the hardest part will be controlling that dog's appetite.

does the planer come with front and back wheels that keep the cutting tool from sucking material in?

So glad I have a cnc to drill all those holes :D My Arm would agree with you. My wallet (and wife) wouldn't. A CNC would make a lot of things easier. But it is not in my short term plans.. or budget. same here. I did this on the CNC. However, I still had to go back with a drill and dress up each ho...

the 129 style is the most common around here and is coated.

Why can't they get you that? it's an "off the shelf" stamping for them.

that thing'll rip your arms out the sockets quicker than Chewbacca when he loses!

I'd highly suggest you construct some kind of frame around that sand wheel, or the whole thing even. To keep from getting pulled in.

I've noticed many of the precision flaws of my machine were not the machine itself, some examples: 1) my profiling toolpath kept starting and ending at different points along the x axis. I watched it go for what seemed like a few hours, noticed it was stalling in spots during travel along x. Thought...

I also have a G540, with 4 outputs, using X and A to drive my X axis motors. I suppose you could dedicate the A for something else and figure out how to run 2 motors off the x? I duno.

A long road of building, learning, building, learning, breaking, rebuilding, repeat.

But, couldn't be happier. Could have got a $20,000 shopbot and be in the same boat!!!

These clear tops dont chip, once a spot lifts, it pulls on it's neighboring areas, and the lifting spot grows.
