i had seen a press with hidraulic and it need very precise molds and nice rubber. but the best is spending money in a nice press, fire hose and cattrack, poor people spend money twice...

CADMAN for vacumm is more simple using a very thin topsheet, like 0.4mm thickness, it can ajust to the 3d profile...

i see your press is not deflecitng because your bottom mold is to thick and prevents some deflection, but i advice you to try much pressure as possible to ensure you dont get any trouble with your skis...

that looks awesome. did you build the molds? they look almost identical to sbm adjustable mold. let us know how it works and how the steel beams hold up under deformation, etc. because a nice lighter press would be great for us but not at the expense of deformation. Actualy in my case i had to move...

i have a idea Rockaumkum , this is to do before layup and stuffs. so: just pick some fast glue put a very small quantitie in the top of the plastic. pick some metal dust and cover it , let it dry, test it after with a bit of fiberglass and topsheet over it and test it with metal dust. usualy try to not touch the edges, so so you waist alot of blades, give a nice acurate cut near the edges and then finish triming the rest with a 40-60 gr tape

hey that tube was for heating but now it will work to cooling, because ill use 2 heat blankets.

i do the same as the foto. you must router the sidewall to fit with the edges and you resolve 2 problems 1- no more convex top 2 - core fit good during layup

by the way, who knows how much pressure(tons) the firehose with 10cm of diameter can do at 6 bar???
